NLGX at the 2010 International Creative Design Exhibition, Nov. 13-15

NLGX is proud to be invited as a special guest exhibitor at the 2010 International Creative Design Exhibition, November 13-15 in Beijing. Alongside renowned international designers from Italy, UK, France, and China, NLGX will be proudly representing Beijing design with an exhibit presenting our original graphic Ts and NLGX RECYCLED bags.

2010年中国国际创意设计推广周暨中国国际创意设计展

我国经济的发展正在从工业化时代迈向信息化时代，也就是服务业时代。在过去传统工业化时代，设计主要依附在工业制造之中，相当滞后。目前，我国经济逐渐从”中国制造”向”中国创造”过度，创意设计产业快速崛起，正在发展成为我国现代服务业的新兴产业，许多制造业、新兴产品都是通过创意设计发展出来的。
中国年轻一代的设计师要抓住机遇，要成长，要发展，要成为工业化、产业化、商品化、价值化的创造者。为帮助青年设计师与生产企业建立合作，挖掘和培育青年一代设计领袖，推广和应用优秀创意设计作品，中国国际贸易促进委员会作为国家的投资贸易促进机构，联合商务部、中央美术学院，以及世界顶级设计院校和机构组织共同举办”2010年中国国际创意设计推广周”。此活动是同期在中国国际展览中心举办的”中外服务贸易企业洽谈会”的重要内容之一，并将成为交流国际设计潮流与理念，展示中国创意成果，促进创意设计新兴产业的发展，实现创意价值对接的平台。从而建立世界创意与设计市场新秩序，体现创意与设计的更高价值，推动中国创意设计产业的健康发展。

NLGX @ TEDxBeijing

NLGX Design is proud to support creative ideas and innovation in Beijing. In partnership with TEDxBeijing, we will together develop innovative ideas and concepts into an exclusive line of specially-designed merchandise. Proceeds will help to fund future TEDxBeijing events to further idea sharing and original creations in China’s Capital City.

At Uncovering Innovation on Saturday, November 13, we will be launching our first in a series of merchandise, designed by NLGX, exclusively for TEDxBeijing:

  • A TEDxBeijing Tote bag, awarded to all participants of TEDxBeijing’s Uncovering Innovation Event. The “PEK” ticker graphic symbolizes Beijing’s arrival as an international hub for artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, travelers, and innovators. Our Capital city has become a marquee destination, an attraction that is unique in its time and place in history.
  • A TEDxBeijing Boarding Pass, specially designed for participants at Uncovering Innovation as a ticket for the day’s journey from PEK Ideas Hub to TEDxBeijing, a destination for new ideas and collaborations.

While no more seats are available for the event, you can still join our neighbors at Studio X at Fangjia Hutong for live streaming of the event with “interactive audio-visual installations”! For those not in Beijing, talks will also be streamed live online at www.tudou.com/home/tedxbeijing.

NLGX 2010 Fall/Winter Hoodies launched!

Back again for this year’s Fall/Winter Season are the popular NLGX Graphic Hoodies! We are excited to launch four brand new original designs:
今年的秋冬帽衫已到货！我们隆重推出四个新款原创设计！

  • The People’s Vehicle 人民的车, a new graphic based on our popular Beijing Bicycle design
  • N-L-G-X Braille 盲点, featuring a 3-D print!
  • The Capital 京城, dedicated to our hometown of Beijing
  • HLB Bag of Life 希望, a re-design from a 2008 favorite

All new designs, except for The People’s Vehicle, feature a full-front zipper. The inside of the hood is double-layered for extra comfort and warmth.
