Lucky Magpie Beloved by local Beijingers, the Black Billed Magpie is believed to bring luck to those around it. Prosperity Goldfish A favorite addition for ponds inside a Chinese courtyard garden, the big-eyed goldfish are believed to attract wealth and prosperity.
Limited Edition 60-year Anniversary T A dedication to the 60th anniversary of the founding of the PRC, this design pays tribute to the five most prominent leaders in the country’s development. This is a one-time only print and is available in limited quantities.
NLGX Design and 1626, a leading Chinese fashion magazine, have partnered on a collaboration t-shirt to celebrate their upcoming 3-year anniversary of their Beijing edition. This special edition collaboration design, as well as NLGX’s summer t-shirt designs, are featured in the latest issue (June) of 1626. Check out our feature in the pictures below!
Ahoy Maties! It’s time for our 2nd Annual NLGX Sailing Party! Get away from the scorching heat of Beijing, and instead relax in the shade while feeling the fresh wind blow against your face. This event, similar to last year is all inclusive with Sailing, food/BBQ, transporation and tents for 1700 RMB. (Options to upgrade to hotel available).

This weekend, our friends at Natooke will host the first ever fixed bike race and skills competition in Beijing. The events start on June 12 with a casual bike ride around the city to meet and greet new friends. On Saturday, June 13, there will be a race around Beijing featuring fixed gear bikes from participants from all over the world. NLGX will serve as the Nanluoguxiang checkpoint for the race so look out so come out this Saturday afternoon to catch a glimpse of the action! At night, there will be a party and award ceremony at Cafe Luce. On June 14, there will be a bicycle polo match next to the Forbidden City. For more information, click on the poster below!

On Saturday March 7, 2009 NLGX re-opened it’s doors after one week of renovation. With a custom-made retail system, we have made our flagship NLGX store more accomodating for independent designers and artists to display their products and to tell their stories. Our open-air rooftop terrace remains open to enjoy coffee, beer, and smoothies during the upcoming warm-weather months.
