This week (4/20-26) Nanluoguxiang will host a celebration of Beijing Youth Culture and Creative Arts! Events include music and theater performances, as well as displays of Chinese arts and crafts.

NLGX Design’s new flagship store

On Saturday March 7, 2009 NLGX re-opened it’s doors after one week of renovation. With a custom-made retail system, we have made our flagship NLGX store more accomodating for independent designers and artists to display their products and to tell their stories. Our open-air rooftop terrace remains open to enjoy coffee, beer, and smoothies during the upcoming warm-weather months. Thank you again for your support this past year and welcome to visit the new NLGX!

经过一周的重新装修后，在2009年的3月7日，NLGX重新开业了，重新装修过的门也变的更有零售店的样子了。这样以来，我们使得我们NLGX的旗舰店变的更加全面展示独立的设计师的作品，以及每个作品背后创作的故事。过段时间等气温转暖后，您也可以在我们露天的酒水吧饮用咖啡，啤酒和软饮。承蒙您的厚待以及由衷的感谢您对我们过去一年一如既往的支持，欢迎您光临我们焕然一新的NLGX.

南锣鼓巷的生活气息和幽默

南锣鼓巷就生活在北京的“根儿”文化中。
早已名声在外的南锣鼓巷，旁人看来，几乎算得上是一条安静得让我们惊讶的小街了。街上的游人以外国人居多，天空中偶尔有鸽子飞过，留下一长串鸽哨的声音。
这里的每一家店都开在临街的老房子里，那些看上去也许不起眼的房子，没准儿就有着曾经极不寻常的过往。在前年夏天被翻修一新的南锣鼓巷，入冬后便呈现出整齐干净的面容。每一家小店都那么低调地存在着，即使是最为夸张的红也极力暗淡着，默默地和小巷遥相呼应，甚至很难分辨出它们出现的年代。这是一条很特殊的巷子，生在浮华的境地，却能自然地静默着，散发的恰恰是致命的吸引。小巷的一切都迟缓得让人觉得舒适，但它既不是后海酒吧街也不是烟袋斜街，它没有刻意地自我塑造着自己的格调。这一切就是生活气息吧。
